12:00am [12:00am] THE STAN ERHART BAND (cont.)
Description:
"Soulful Blues"

Stan Erhart - guitar
Steve Evans - bass
Jackie Enx - drums

Dishin' up a great big plate of Roots Rockin' Grooves ...
With a little of everything on the side!

An eclectic mix of some of the finest musicians in the San Francisco Bay Area. This group plays for the moment, and covers a spectrum of blues/r&b, rock, soul-jazz, & originals.

Stan's roots go back to the family farm in Kansas; where hard work and play were accompanied by John Deere tractors, V-8 cars, & country guitars. His brother's baritone horn was the first instrument, followed by guitar, vocals, sax, flute, and a smattering of keyboards. He spent his college years studying music in Michigan while traveling to Chicago for club work -- later moving to Chicago, and finally to San Francisco to form one of the hardest working bands in the Bay Area.

Steve Evans has backed numerous icons of R&B including Etta James, Bo Diddley, Mary Wells, Charlie Musselwhite, Big Mama Thornton, Tracy Nelson, Lee Dorsey. Pee Wee Ellis, The Drifters, and rock artists Bob Weir & Kingfish, Brian Auger, Joan Baez, New Riders of the Purple Sage, Maria Muldaur, Swiss pop star Phil Carmen (featuring Dire straits drummer Pick Withers) and more. In the last decade and a half, Steve has recorded and/or toured nationally and internationally with numerous guitar greats including slide guitar virtuoso Roy Rogers, Pat Travers, Harvey Mandel, Coco Montoya and more.

Jackie Enx recorded & toured with Rhino Bucket, and co-wrote two major soundtrack tunes with them. One is on the original Wayne's World soundtrack, and the other is on The Wrestler.
